Back in High School I took many art courses which included a basic photography course, and ever since I have been completely intrigued by the art form. Back then digital cameras were a dream and I found the challenge of finding the perfect settings for a difficult shot adrenaline inducing.
I continued to pursue the hobby throughout college. However, after career and kids the art form fell by the wayside to this busy rat race we call life. As my daughter got older, I found that I had more free time on my hands and decided to re-explore my forever fulfilling interest in photography. When I received my first DSLR I opened the box to a new incredible piece of equipment, but what I didn’t realize then was that I had also just realized my dreams. With little experience, no training, but a lot of heart, I set out to become a photographer. After taking many online courses, endless practice and self-learning the adobe creative suite in and out… that’s precisely what happened, as an interest turned into a passion and a hobby became a business.
Since the inception of my business, I’ve photographed everything from weddings to family portraits, newborns and beyond. I find pride in capturing emotions in an image that will serve as a tangible reminder of a specific moment for years to come. My relaxed style has served me well in capturing the celebration of love at wedding ceremonies, or the mischievous glimmer in a toddler’s eye. It’s the details that others might overlook when trying to achieve stuffy portraits that drive my style of photography. I thoroughly enjoy building a relationship with my clients and hope to work with them throughout their journey in life, putting into a photograph those moments that they never want to forget.
